Non-Ablative Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing
Non Ablative fractional resurfacing is for clients who have uneven skin caused by acne, scars or wrinkles. It is suitable for all skin types on the face and body. Non ablative fractional resurfacing is a minimally invasive treatment that helps to rejuvenate skin such as fine lines and wrinkles, whilst also working on more complex skin such as acne scarring, body scarring after operations such as breast augmentation, tummy tucks, operation scars and burns.Â
It works by numbing the skin with a mild cream anaesthetic and using a hand held device to deliver radio frequency through fine needles allowing the treatment to stimulate new collagen and elastin below the skins surface. This incredible treatment will leave your skin smoother and rejuvenated and flatten scarring.

Frequently Asked Questions
A minimum of 6 months needs to be left after a scar is formed to allow the skin to completely heal and the sensitivity to reduce.
The price of this treatment will vary depending on your needs. You will be able to discuss this during your consultation. Treatment prices start from £250 per area.Â
A numbing cream will be applied on the area being treated.
During the treatment a needling probe will be placed over the skin and tiny fine needles are penetrated in to the skin using a suction effect. You shouldn’t experience any pain but a mild pins and needles feeling may be experienced.Â
A mesotherapy cocktail of vitamins is applied over the face after the treatment and a mask to cool the skin also.Â
A rich moisturiser will be applied at the end of the treatment.
Yes. Claire will discuss this in full when you come for a treatment to discuss your options, look at the scarring and give her expert knowledge on the best thing.Â
Scars are complex things and vary between atrophic, hypertrophic and keloid. The depth of the scar also needs to be considered. RF fractional laser has excellent results on working deep in to the tissue to reduce redness, reform new collagen and elastin. We will be sure to have you looking your best in no time!
YesÂ
Fractional resurfacing works deep in to the Dermis layer of the skin to heat the tissue and reform new collagen and elastin allowing the skin to tighten, pores to tighten and scarring to reduce. Results are excellent for this treatment.
- Please arrive with a clean face and no makeup on.
- No caffeine for 4 hours before your treatment.
- Eat something light before the treatment.Â
- You will be given an ice pack to take home and applyÂ
During the first 24 hours your skin will look red and may feel like it has sunburn. You will be given an ice pack after your treatment to apply but a bag of frozen peas are good to have at home to apply for 5 -10 minutes per hour for the first 5-6 hours. This will reduce the redness.Â
Avoid any excessive activity such as gym or sauna and steam for 48 hours after.Â
You can return to normal activities the next day.
Occasionally depending on your skin the redness may take longer to reduce. Makeup can be worn the next day to reduce the redness.
Within a few days after each treatment, you may experience a bronzed look to the skin which is normal. Some clients don’t experience this. Â
You will be advised on an appropriate skin care regime to complement the healing process.Â
Your skin may feel drier than normal and can flake which is also normal.
The skin will vary in the time it takes to heal depending on the age of your skin and collagen production.
Apply additional moisturiser if needed.Â
Most people notice results after a week of their first treatment. Their skin will feel smoother, look less blotchy and has a glow to it.
The results will depend on the area being treated and the depth and formation of the scar.Â
If you are doing a course of 3 treatments, you need to wait for the skin to fully heal inside which can be 6-9 months but can occasionally take longer depending on your skin type to see the best results.Â
Yes, you need to wait 2 weeks either side of the treatment to have this done.
